Lakewood Yacht Club is proud to be hosting the 2018 ISSA Fleet Racing National Championship for the Mallory Trophy May 11-13. This is the premier event in High School sailing in the USA for the national championship with the top teams from across the nation at our club racing the Bay Access fleet of FJs. The Mallory Trophy is high school sailing’s oldest trophy dating to 1930.
Welcome from the Commodore
Competitors and Guests,
Welcome to Lakewood Yacht Club, and congratulations to these teams from across the country on qualifying to compete for the Mallory Trophy. Working with the Bay Access Sailing Foundation and supporting high school sailing is an important part of our overall youth sailing program at Lakewood, and we are honored to have you all here for this event.
We invite you to enjoy our Club and facilities during your stay; our dining areas and bar will gladly accept credit card payment and you’ll find our staff ready to answer any questions you have. On behalf of Lakewood Yacht Club, may we wish you all the best as you compete.

Guests and Spectators
A spectator boat will be available on Saturday for up to 20 people, first come first serve. Cuban Gold is in C Shed near the regatta launch area (3rd boat on the left as you come in the shed). The boat will leave the dock at 9:15 provided the start time is as scheduled.
Please let us know HERE if you are interested in watching from the spectator boat.
Good spectator spots from shore include “the point” of the LYC harbor and a nearby floating bar, BARge 295, with an upper deck overlooking the race area.
Please refer to the map for parking and event locations.
